Service Description

WORKING WITH ORGANISATIONS I am registered both as an occupational therapist and as a psychotherapist. That combination matters here. Occupational therapy is the only health profession trained specifically in the fit between a person, their role and their working environment and the evidence increasingly suggests that wellbeing programmes aimed only at the individual do not shift organisational outcomes. I work at both levels. Organisational assessment A structured analysis of where pressure actually sits- demands, control, support, relationships, role clarity and change- using the HSE Management Standards framework alongside interviews and occupational analysis. You receive a written formulation of the organisation, not a survey summary. Most usefully commissioned first. Group and team programmes Small-cohort work drawing on acceptance and commitment therapy and cognitive-behavioural approaches, the two intervention families with the strongest occupational evidence base. Covers pressure and performance, burnout, emotional regulation, communication, and organisational change. Skills and formulation rather than disclosure. Measured at baseline, completion and three months. Individual work for senior people Time-limited, clinically informed work in two forms: where a coaching frame has reached its limit, and structured return to work following burnout or absence- including graded return, demand analysis and reasonable-adjustment recommendations. Consultation and reflective supervision For internal coaches, HR leads and managers holding material heavier than their role anticipated, including judgement on when and how to refer on. All work is evaluated using validated measures and reported to the organisation in aggregate only. Individual data is never returned to an employer. Registered with the HCPC (occupational therapy) and UKCP and BACP (psychotherapy).
